We’re parents.
We get it.

Bark was born from the same worry that keeps every parent up at night — the need to keep our kids safe in a world that’s increasingly digital. So, we built the tools we wished existed.

"I started Bark because I wanted to protect my own kids — and every family deserves that same peace of mind." — Brian Bason, Founder & CEO

A dad’s mission became a movement

In 2015, Brian Bason — a father of two — looked at the digital landscape his children were growing up in and realized there was a critical gap. Parents needed real tools to help them navigate the online world alongside their kids, not just filters or locks, but genuine insight into what their children experience online.

So he built Bark. Not as a corporation, but as a parent who understood the stakes. From day one, the mission was simple: give families the awareness and tools they need to keep kids safer — without breaking the trust between parent and child.
