How To Set Up VSCO Parental Controls

VSCO is not a traditional social media app as there are no "likes" or "comments." However, parents should know that this photo-editing platform does not allow users to set their profiles to private. VSCO does not offer many parental control options. Parents should encourage their children to choose a non-identifying screen name to protect their privacy. Additionally, users can opt-out of including location data on the images they upload.

How to Opt-Out of Including Location Data

  1. Tap the Settings icon.
  2. Tap on your Profile icon.
  3. Tap Privacy.
4. Toggle the sharing options off.

How to Monitor Content

In addition to setting parental controls on your child's device, the next safety layer parents and caregivers should strongly consider is a monitoring solution to assess the content their kids encounter (and produce) across text messages, social media, and email. Bark can do this for you. On VSCO, Bark monitors direct messages. If you'd like to see a detailed list of everything Bark can monitor, click here.
