How To Set Up iPhone 5c Parental Controls
Learn how to set parental controls on your child’s iPhone 5c.

The iPhone 5c does not support the latest version of Apple’s operating system (iOS 14). The most up-to-date version of iOS that the iPhone 5c supports is iOS 10.
To see which operating system your child’s device is running, go to Settings > General > Software Update. If you are due for an upgrade, you will be prompted to Download and Install the latest software.
How to turn on restrictions in iOS 10
- Tap Settings.
- Tap General.
- Tap Restrictions.
- Tap Enable Restrictions and create a passcode.

Create your Family Sharing account
Family Sharing allows you to share controls for purchases, storage, locations, calendars, and more with members of your family. Simply select features to share and send invitations. You’ll be able to add up to six children with Family Sharing, although you won’t be able to add children that are 18 years or older.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap iCloud.
- Tap Get Started.
- You will then be prompted with onscreen instructions to set up family members.
Invite people to join your family
- Tap Settings.
- Tap iCloud.
- Tap Family.
- Tap Add Family Member.
- Enter your family member’s name or email address and follow the onscreen instructions.
