Three pillars of support
The Bark Phone and Bark Watch create an environment where healthy digital habits can be learned safely — so young people build real independence while staying protected.

Social connection
Approve every contact and monitor conversations across texts, images, and apps, with alerts for concerning content.

Physical safety
Real-time location, safe-zone alerts, and one-touch SOS help caregivers stay connected and respond fast — including in moments of elopement.

Content & app access
Filter inappropriate content, manage apps to fit your child’s needs, and set screen-time schedules that support healthy routines.
Young people deserve more

Bark and OhioRISE
If your child is enrolled in OhioRISE, you can get a Bark device through Aetna flex funds — up to $1,500 a year for items that support home safety and social-emotional well-being. When the device is part of your child’s Child and Family-Centered Care Plan, it comes at no out-of-pocket cost to your family.
The Bark Watch is often the right starting point for younger children or those who do best with a simple, structured experience. The Bark Phone is built for young people ready for more independence with monitoring in place.
How to get started in Ohio
- Talk to your OhioRISE care coordinator about adding a Bark device to your child's care plan.
- Your county agency rep submits a short request with the device you've chosen.
- Bark provides the invoice; your care coordinator submits it with the care plan to Aetna for approval — usually within about a week.
- Your device ships directly to you, with setup help and a walkthrough of features from the Bark team. It renews each year.
