Bark Now Monitors Google Meet Notes on Androids and the Bark Phone

The Bark Team  |  September 25, 2025

Google Meet is a popular app for video calling, especially on Android devices and in classrooms. A lesser-known feature of this app is Google Notes, the messaging feature that allows users to send texts during a call or to people they’ve already chatted with. This could be a hidden channel for texting away from parents’ prying eyes, leading to inappropriate or harmful conversations.

Luckily, our engineering team has now added Google Meet Notes to the ever-growing list of content Bark monitors. This means you can have peace of mind when you let your kids video chat with their friends, because you’ll get alerted if there’s bullying, sexual content, or anything else you need to know about.
